I would like to first thank the JSLRC for their invitation to judge the match. I did have a good time! There was an extremely nice entry, especially from the large puppy bitch class! Not surprising though, I know what a hard, yet wonderful job everyone is doing in their own breeding programs. The most difficult task was having 3 or more entries that were nearly equal in quality and having to choose a winner! I hope that is always my most difficult task! Finally, I would like to thank all who entered under me for their support and for the quality of their Labradors! Thanks! Tambra Flaherty

Encore Match Judge: Eleanor Stintzcum - Buttonwood
It was a real pleasure and honor to judge the match on Sunday August 21, 2005. The dogs were all very nice and it was so difficult to pick winners in each class. I wish they all could have gotten ribbons. The puppies were really well prepared to be shown and not one was shy. I think the coats were very good as well as the shoulders. And the heads were superb. They all moved well and were so happy in spite of the hot weather. Very nice group of dogs and puppies. I especially loved the Junior Handler class. I was looking at the handlers and their method of being a team with their charges. They will all become good handlers in the very short future. The only thing that I was disappointed in was that I couldn't show my kids. I always love this match and keep up the good work both with the club, the match, specialty show and mainly the nice dogs you are all breeding. Again, I think they all deserve a blue ribbon.
